In 2025-26 Topps Inception Basketball (released July 23, 2026; the first fully licensed NBA version of the brand), the main chase cards center on premium on-card autographs, especially of top rookies, plus unique auto-relics and case-hit inserts.

Hobby boxes contain 1 pack of 7 cards with 1 autograph or auto-relic per box (FDI boxes had extra exclusive content). The base set is 100 cards with colorful numbered parallels (Green common, then Purple /125 down to Inception 1/1).

Top Chases

NBA First Milestone Auto Relics — The headlining premium cards. These feature on-card autos + game-used memorabilia (often net pieces or similar) from a rookie’s first NBA game or early milestone (e.g., first points). Numbered low (base often /10, with rarer Sky Blue /5 and 1/1s). Highly meaningful and limited.

Rookie Jumbo Relic Autographs — Oversized relics paired with on-card signatures from top first-year players.

Rookie Relic Booklet Autographs and Dual Rookie Relic Autographs — Multi-panel or dual-player cards combining multiple signatures and memorabilia pieces from the rookie class.

Inception Silver Signings — Horizontal cards with bold silver-ink on-card autos (strong veteran/star checklist). Look for the ultra-rare Gold Ink Inscription 1/1 versions (e.g., Cooper Flagg).

Rookie Autographs (including Horizontal versions) and Dawn of Greatness Autographs — On-card rookie signatures. The top names drive value.

Persistent Marks — Legend/veteran-focused on-card autos (examples include Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson).

Key Players Driving Demand

The 2025-26 rookie class is the big draw, led by:

Cooper Flagg (Dallas Mavericks) — Primary chase across autos, relics, and 1/1s.

Kon Knueppel, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, and other high-end rookies (e.g., VJ Edgecombe, Cedric Coward).

Veterans/stars to watch include Victor Wembanyama (notably with licensed Spurs branding), LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and other current stars. All-time greats appear in select auto sets.

Other Notable Content

Inserts (often case hits) include Launch, Endgame, and Splashdown. There are also veteran multi-relic autos (e.g., Franchise Fundamental) and non-auto First Milestone Relics (rarer net pieces).
